What is a Hip-Healthy Carrier?

The International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI) recognizes carriers that promote a healthy hip position, reducing the risk of hip dysplasia, especially during the first six months when a baby’s joints are still developing.

The M-position, also known as the "frog position," is the optimal way for babies to sit in a carrier. In this position:
